Body

This is the veterinary clinic I used to run.

It feels a bit unfamiliar, perhaps because it has been so long since I last visited.

A middle-aged woman brings in two puppies.

I examine them before I even have a chance to adjust to the unfamiliar surroundings.

- You're here for vaccinations, right?

I pick up one of the puppies and weigh it.

It looks like it weighs about 2.5 kilos.

There is a scale next to the entrance. I place it on the scale. It is exactly 2.5 kilos.

The entrance is closed. There is a fence in front of it.

This is because if the gate were open, the puppy could get out.

That is how I administer the vaccinations.

I haven't yet fully looked around the examination area and the medicine shelves in the back.

I finish the examinations somewhat unintentionally and step outside.

Outside is a large intersection. It is a flat, main road intersection.

But wait, a tree with only branches is floating in the air.

It is a roadside tree, but the top half is suspended in the air.

Strange, I observe the tree closely.

However, the tree is hanging from a power line.

It looks like the power line is piercing through the top part of the tree.

That is why the tree appears to be floating.

It looks like the bottom part was cut off with a saw.

Meanwhile, thick power lines run straight across the wide road.

Men are running toward the main road, holding onto red pipe-like structures that hold the wires.

I see a familiar catcher as well. He is the catcher acting as the office manager.

Ah, so they do construction work here too...

And when I look to the side, in another place, another catcher—someone I’ve grown fond of and who I’ve fought with—is passing in front of me with another worker, leading a thick power line in a straight line.

That man is also working on power line construction.

Ah, there weren't any cars on the main road in front of the veterinary clinic... Construction... It is because thick power lines are being laid.
