Body

I walk along a country road.
The road is a dirt road.

I walk on the right.
A ridge rises as high as my chest alongside the road.
The road is dirt where carriages travel,
and reeds grow on both sides of the wheel ruts.

I hold a torch and light the reeds in a single line.
This seems to clear the reeds.

Just then, my younger brother walks quickly from over there.
He's coming from the left, burning reeds.
He holds two torches and burns reeds on both sides simultaneously.
He swings his arms in a circular motion,
burning the reeds relentlessly.

My brother and I are competing, playing the game of reed burning.
We walk along the country road.
But then, I see the reed forest I'm burning.
It's the embankment on the right. The reeds are burning, and the trees inside are burning, so
the charcoal is well-made. It's red-hot.
- It would be nice to grill something on this.
I think. Potatoes, sweet potatoes...

- You have to look carefully there.
My brother looks at me and says.
I thought we were just playing around and burning the reeds.
- We have to burn that anthill well. They're climbing up there.

My brother says. We're burning pests, ants.
I concentrate and look next to the well-made charcoal fire.
The reeds have burned there too, so now all you can see are pebbles.
The pebbles are red-hot.
Ants are scurrying back and forth.

Oh, it looks like we're killing pests before planting.
- We have to take a picture.
I say I'll take a picture of this scene to record it.

The fire has burned the reeds just right, and has also burned the grass on the ground, so
only red pebbles are visible on the ground. It seems like everything went as planned.
